The Città di Castello Literary Prize is marking its 20th edition by expanding its awards ceremony into a four-day programme across the city. On 22 October, the Classical High School will host an event with the magazine Il Luogo dei Libri; on the 23rd, the Carducci Library welcomes Alessandro Masi and Chiara Barbato for their book on Giotto’s Stories of Saint Francis. Winners in Fiction, Poetry and Non-fiction will be announced on Saturday 24 at the Teatro degli Illuminati, selected from 30 finalists. The closing event on 25 October will bring previous winners together at the San Domenico complex. Founded in 2007, the competition reports more than 10,600 submissions and almost 10,000 participating authors from Italy and abroad.
