Not one Pinocchio, but seven ways of imagining him. The Biblioteca degli Arconi in Perugia opened 7 matite per un burattino on 15 October, an exhibition linked to the international competition organised by Bologna Children’s Book Fair around Collodi. The illustrations offer different visual readings of a character who continues to change alongside his readers.

The artists are Aurora Cacciapuoti, Sabrina Cigada, Patrizia Colombo, Alice Gualandi, Massimo Pastore, Emma Lidia Squillari and Nicole Tecchio. Workshops with Squillari for schools and families accompany the exhibition. The Perugia show runs until Sunday 18 October: 10am–7pm through Saturday, then 10am–1pm on Sunday, with free admission. The official programme also lists a subsequent stop at Terni’s municipal library from 19 to 22 November.
