Following Vladimir, Julia May Jonas returns to fiction with Diana. On 19 October, PEOPLE revealed the cover and published an interview with the author. Avid Reader Press, a Simon & Schuster imprint, confirms a US release date of 11 May 2027. The novel is therefore not yet available in bookshops.

Its narrator is Annie, a forty-two-year-old watching the rise of the friend from whom she has become estranged. They met at drama school, but ambition, work and personal choices have taken their lives in different directions. The publisher describes a story of competition and betrayal, threaded with motherhood and identity. The premise raises a familiar question: what happens when someone else’s success becomes the measure of your own life?
