IBBY Italia Choice carries Italian picture books across borders

Luigi Dal Cin’s Il più grande spettacolo appears in IBBY Italia Choice 2026, the biennial selection that introduces a curated group of Italian children’s books to international audiences. On 21 October, the author highlighted the availability of the full catalogue, released online for the Frankfurt Book Fair. It brings together 20 picture books published in 2025–2026 and was produced with the support of Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the Italian Publishers Association. More than a ranking, the Choice acts as an international mediation tool, giving publishers, librarians and cultural professionals a guided map of works, writers and illustrators. For Dal Cin’s title, inclusion therefore creates another route into a network devoted to quality and accessibility in children’s reading.
