A library can be a place where reading becomes conversation. In Forlì, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, the Aurelio Saffi municipal library hosts “Basta un libro per incontrarsi intorno a una storia”: nine events from October 2026 to May 2027 at Palazzo Romagnoli, Via Cesare Albicini 12.

The series opens on Tuesday 20 October at 3.30pm with Roberto Mercadini and his book about Galileo and the scientific revolution. Chiara Moscardelli follows on 10 November, Matteo Cavezzali on 26 November and Paola Barbato on 3 December, all at 6pm. The 2027 programme includes Manuel Bova, Davide Longo, Franco Faggiani and Simone Tempia, with a special event on 27 May marking the library’s second anniversary in its new home.

Organised by the municipal cultural services and the library, the events are free, with no booking required and admission subject to capacity. The municipality announced the programme on 13 October.
