A festival does not end when its meeting spaces close. In its 16 October newsletter, the Edinburgh International Book Festival announces that more than thirty titles will join its collection of on-demand conversations from the 2026 edition later this month. These are recordings, not new live events.

The catalogue already features authors such as Maggie O’Farrell; the newsletter also highlights John Grisham’s conversation with Ian Rankin. Access follows a Pay What You Can model, supporting the festival’s activities, including work with libraries, schools and communities. Some videos are available only for a limited period, shown in their individual listings. The update offers a practical opportunity to catch missed conversations and keep exploring writers’ work from afar.
