A short story can be a first encounter with a writer’s own voice. Campiello Giovani is launching its 32nd edition for aspiring writers aged 15–21 living in Italy or abroad. ANSA’s announcement on 12 October gives an online submission deadline of 15 January 2027, with no prescribed theme. The rules exclude artificial intelligence when it replaces any part of the author’s creative contribution. Fifteen semifinalists will be selected by 16 March, followed by five finalists in April; the literary jury will choose the winner. For a beginner, the essential challenge remains personal: finding a story, shaping it and taking responsibility for its words. Entrants should consult the competition’s updated regulations before submitting their work.
