Buck opens a week of children’s stories across languages in Foggia

The 16 October update details Sunday 18 October’s opening with Sergio Olivotti. The festival continues until 25 October.

A story can change language without losing its ability to connect people. That is the starting point of In altre parole, the theme of Buck’s sixteenth edition in Foggia. The 16 October update previews the opening on Sunday 18 October: at 10.30am, the Fondazione dei Monti Uniti at Via Arpi 152 will welcome readers with Sergio Olivotti.

The morning includes giant puppets from Teatro del Pollaio, the performance Ma che storia, the Purtroppamente exhibition and the opening of the publishing fair. Until 25 October, the programme combines conversations, illustration and workshops around translation in children’s literature. Activities have different audiences and participation arrangements: consult the official programme for venues, age ranges and individual events before planning a visit.
