Bogotá invites new readers beyond the last page of independent books

Applications for Después de la página remain open until 16 October through Cámara Colombiana del Libro and Idartes.

A book does not necessarily end when its cover closes. In Bogotá, Después de la página invites readers to continue through a shared experience. In its 12 October announcement, Cámara Colombiana del Libro and Idartes offer reading groups around four titles supported by grants for independent, emerging and community publishing projects. Each programme involves six sessions at CREA centres during October and November, with selected participants receiving a copy of the book. Applications close at 5 pm local time on 16 October. Each group accepts up to twenty people, subject to the stated requirements and availability to attend. The initiative connects publications, authors and communities, giving stories a chance to reach new audiences through conversation rather than solitary discovery alone.
